Slow Cooked Cinnamon Apple Sauce

This is a super easy recipe for cinnamon applesauce made right in your slow cooker. Warm cinnamon applesauce is so comforting and makes the perfect Year Round snack or side dish for pork. Enjoy it warm or cold.

Ingredients

12lbs granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

12cup firmly packed brown sugar

12tablespoons fresh lemon juice

14teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

In a 3 1/2-quart electric slow cooker, toss together the apples, brown sugar, and lemon juice.

Cover and cook on the high heat setting 3 hours or until the apples are very tender.

Mash up the apples with a potato masher.

Stir in the cinnamon.

Serve over vanilla ice cream, if desired.
