Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

3 ounces baking chocolate chunks

2 eggs, well beaten

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp double-acting baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Melt butter in microwave together with chocolate. Stir gently and cool slightly.

Use a whisk to beat in flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar and walnuts.

Make a little hole in the middle and stir in beaten eggs and melted butter/chocolate mixture and vanilla.

Pour into greased a 8” x 12” pan. Bake at 3500 F (325 convection) until set, or about 10 minutes for chewy brownies.
